Tales of Hoffman

Tales of Hoffman is an opera! Basically, this guy Hoffman was a writer and then he died and this other guy Offenbach comes along and tells the stories in an opera using Hoffman as the central figure. There are three different loves, all of which are very tragic and prove that he needs to devote himself to his writing.

So he is tangeled in hair, and seeing ladies when he tries to drown his troubles in alcohol.
